Calm condition in the morning. The Santa Ana winds kicked up in the afternoon. Going from brisk to really blowing! Had a great tack north, tacked around to head back to harbor and the winds kicked in. Some estimated the winds to 30 mph. It was enough for me to furl the sails and motor back into the harbor. (You can see the end of the tack and the drift while bring in the sails on the track below). I could not get the jib furled completely and it flogged all the way in. At one point, the head wind was so strong it did not seem like we were moving at all! A good reason to finally get the bigger outboard I have been talking about.
A fun sail over all. With just a few stressful points as the wind battered me on the way in.
